Our end-user client is looking for a JD Edwards E1 Technical Support Specialist to join their IT team on an initial fixed-term contract. This role focuses on ensuring the stability, coordination, and smooth operation of Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 integrations and other connected business systems.
The successful candidate will act as the central point of coordination for application and interface support. While you won’t be carrying out technical fixes yourself, you will play a critical role in monitoring integrations, logging and tracking issues, escalating to the right support partners, and ensuring timely resolution. Strong technical understanding of how enterprise systems fit together is key, alongside excellent organisational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support to users across finance, sales order processing, manufacturing, and reporting.
- Act as a key link between IT and other departments, translating business objectives into clear system requirements.
- Manage and resolve application issues, working with internal IT teams, third parties, and business stakeholders.
- Oversee integrations and interfaces between JDE and other business systems (WMS, HR/Payroll, EDI, manufacturing planning).
- Monitor system reliability, proactively addressing issues to minimise downtime.
- Support the delivery of small-scale IT projects and application changes, ensuring solutions meet business requirements.
- Review and approve SQL data corrections to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Contribute to transformation initiatives, ensuring stability of legacy applications during the transition period.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (9.2), ideally with experience across finance, sales, and manufacturing modules.
- Proven application support background, ideally in FMCG or other fast-paced industries.
- Ability to review SQL scripts and ensure data integrity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication to bridge technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience supporting end-to-end business processes and working in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
