Internal Controls Specialist

Internal Controls Specialist – Audit, SOX, Internal Controls, Controls Testing, Internal Auditor, Controls Analyst, SOX Tester, Audit Associate, Compliance Tester – UK Remote – £250 – £300 per day – Outside IR35

Our client requires an Internal Controls Specialist to execute a high volume of control testing. There is a clear testing plan already defined, this role is about delivery, throughput, and consistency.

The role can be completed on a primarily remote basis in the UK and will be for an initial 6 months, outside IR35.

Responsibilities:

• Execute large volumes of control testing.
• Follow existing testing frameworks and templates.
• Document results clearly and consistently.
• Collaborate with the internal controls team to meet deadlines.

Experience required:

• General internal control testing experience – this is a hands-on position.
• Internal audit or SOX testing background highly desirable.
• Proven controls testing experience.
• Strong documentation accuracy.
• Able to work independently with minimal support.
• Comfortable with repetitive, high‑volume test execution.
• ACA / ACCA / IIA / AIA qualifications desirable.
