ERP Business Analyst – ERP, SAP, Oracle, D365, Dynamics365, Dynamics 365, Business Analyst, Process Mapping, AS IS, TO BE, Process Analyst, AI, Claude, Perplexity, ChatGPT, Automation – £450 – £550 per day – Leeds

 

Our client requires an experienced ERP Business Analyst to join them at the early stages of their ERP transformation journey. Initial engagement will be 3 months but very likely to extend.

 

Candidates must have proven experience as a Business Analyst within ERP programmes to be considered for this role. The role will typically involve 3 days per week on-site in Leeds.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Process Mapping: Lead workshops to dissect, analyze, and map complex “AS-IS” operational processes across core business streams.
  • Future-State Design: Architect optimized “TO-BE” processes that align with modern enterprise resource planning capabilities.
  • Gap Analysis: Identify operational bottlenecks, data silos, and system gaps, translating them into a clear business case for the new ERP.
  • Document Generation: Utilize AI tools to rapidly draft, refine, and standardize core project artifacts, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and User Stories.
  • Custom Agent Creation: Build or configure specialized AI agents/prompts to parse massive amounts of legacy documentation, clean stakeholder interview data, and accelerate information synthesis.
  • Efficiency Optimization: Continually find ways to use AI to shorten the requirements-gathering lifecycle without sacrificing accuracy or detail.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Translate business requirements into high-quality RFPs (Request for Proposals) and vendor scoring matrices.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Manage expectations across senior IT leaders and business unit heads, presenting clear, data-driven recommendations for the final ERP platform selection.

 

Key Skills & Experience: 

  • ERP Background: Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within large-scale enterprise software environments (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Retail modules).
  • Methodology Expertise: Deep understanding of standard business analysis frameworks, requirements lifecycle management, and process mapping methodologies.
  • Consultative Mindset: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to dig past surface-level requests to uncover true operational pain points.
  • Practical AI Application: Hands-on experience using generative AI platforms and tools to deliver tangible project outputs (e.g., prompt engineering for complex analysis, automated process mapping tools).
  • Agent Development: Practical exposure to setting up custom GPTs, AI agents, or automated workflows designed to handle specific data extraction or documentation tasks.
  • Tech Literacy: A high degree of comfort experimenting with new software and an engineering-adjacent mindset toward automating administrative BA overhead.
