Our end user client are actively seeking a Dynamics 365 F&O Developer to work on their implementation of D365 F&O and, long term, to provide technical expertise and support for the system. This is a great opportunity to join a multi-year transformation program.
The role can be completed on a primarily remote basis with approx. 20-25% time on-site in Minneapolis. Candidates need to be based within a 2.5 hour flight of Minneapolis to be considered for this role.
This is a full time, permanent role – C2C will not be considered and candidates must be able to work freely without requiring sponsorship.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Essential:
- Proven experience as a D365 Finance & Operations Developer (or Dynamics AX Developer with recent D365 F&O experience).
- Strong proficiency in X++ development
- Solid understanding of the D365 F&O technical architecture and data model.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with D365 F&O integration methodologies (Data Entities, OData, Logic Apps, Power Automate).
- A good understanding of core D365 F&O modules, particularly those relevant to manufacturing (e.g., Production Control, Inventory Management, Master Planning, Procurement, Sales, Project Management & Accounting).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Desirable:
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate certification.
- Experience with manufacturing-specific functionalities within D365 F&O.
- Familiarity with Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Experience with other Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database).
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality D365 F&O customisations, enhancements.
- Implement and extend D365 F&O functionalities to meet specific manufacturing business requirements, including production control, master planning, inventory management, and shop floor execution.
- Work with Azure DevOps (ADO) for source control, build pipelines, and release management.
- Apply best practices for D365 development, including adherence to Microsoft’s recommended architecture and coding standards.
- Develop and maintain integrations between D365 F&O and other internal/external systems (e.g., PLM, MES, CRM, WMS, e-commerce) using Data Entities, Logic Apps, Power Automate, and Azure integration services
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to D365 F&O customisations, integrations, and reports.
- Perform performance optimisation and tuning of D365 F&O solutions.
- Assist with system upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
- Work closely with functional consultants and business users to gather and analyse requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Participate in solution design discussions and provide technical expertise.
- Document technical designs, development specifications, and testing procedures.
- Contribute to user training and knowledge transfer.
