Embedded Engineer

Embedded Engineer – NXP, IMX8, C++, HTTP, MqTT, Jlink, JTag, ICE, Debugging, Linux, Yotco, Embedded Engineer – £30-35ph – Contract – Sunbury

Our consultancy client is seeking an Embedded Engineer to join them for an initial 6 month engagement and work for leading organisation based in Sunbury on Thames. The role will involve 5 days per week on-site.

 Key Skills:

• You have 5+ years of experience with embedded systems (NXP iMX8 or similar platform)
• Strong knowledge of C++ programming language
• You have Bachelor’s degree in electronics or computer science
• Expertise in debugging, and communication protocols (HTTP, MqTT)
• Knowledge in JLink, JTag, ICE Debugger, Serial Port Debugging
• Working knowledge of Linux
• Good to have experience with Yocto build system

Main Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for design and development of real time embedded software and firmware, and PC/mobile based software application
• Analyze domain specific technical  requirement and modification as per end customer or system requirement and participate in software design
• Perform software testing including unit, functional and system level requirement including manual and automated
• Document technical deliverable like software specifications, design document, code commenting, test cases and test report
• Develop software solutions from established programming languages or by learning new language required for specific project
• Develop new approaches to complex design problems

Location: Sunbury
