Our client are seeking a Global Process Owner (GPO) for Source to Pay to drive the strategic direction, design, and execution of S2P processes across all regions and business units. This role plays a critical part in ensuring process excellence, governance, and innovation, embedding best practice and enabling automation to optimise efficiency.
You will lead global end to end process alignment, ensure adherence to corporate policy and regulatory requirements, and deliver operational excellence through optimisation, simplification, standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement.
The position requires extensive collaboration with Procurement, Finance, IT, Shared Services, and other business functions to create a streamlined, high performing S2P operating model.
Key Skills & Experience:
- An accomplished S2P Global Process Owner or Process Lead with 5+ years’ experience across procurement, finance, and business process management, with strong financial and commercial acumen
- University degree and professional finance or accounting qualification
- Deep knowledge of end to end S2P, finance, and procurement processes
- Significant experience designing and mapping S2P end to end processes using mapping tools (process mining capability is advantageous)
- Proven track record embedding global standardisation, continuous improvement, and automation driven efficiency programmes
- Strong project management capability, with experience delivering large scale S2P initiatives and cross functional programmes in complex global environments (Agile experience advantageous)
- Highly proficient working with Shared Services Operations (SSC), including improving SSC procedures, scope, and service levels in offshore environments
- Technically orientated with detailed working knowledge of ERP systems and enabling tools, including hands on ERP design, functionality, and operations (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
- Strong governance, controls, and compliance capability, including risk assessment and embedding internal control frameworks
- Competent defining and monitoring SLAs, KPIs, and performance targets, translating performance data into actionable insights
- Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail, confident working with data, identifying patterns, and making data driven recommendations
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence across a diverse set of stakeholders at multiple levels, including international and multicultural teams across time zones
- Ideally Lean or Six Sigma certified (or equivalent)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the global S2P process, setting the global vision and roadmap aligned to corporate objectives
- Drive a customer centric approach to improve user experience and ensure customer satisfaction across the S2P process
- Identify opportunities and define, implement, and continuously improve end to end S2P processes, embedding best practice and industry benchmarking
- Champion standard processes across business units and regions, acting as the central SME and hub for process excellence and continuous improvement
- Enhance efficiency, scope, and service delivery of Shared Services within the S2P process
- Ensure S2P processes comply with corporate policy, regulatory requirements, and incorporate risk and internal controls, including monitoring risk areas and implementing mitigation actions
- Partner with Procurement, Finance, IT, and cross functional business teams in a matrix structure to deliver integrated process improvements and global execution of initiatives
- Advocate and lead change management initiatives, ensuring adoption, sustainability, strong communication, and stakeholder engagement
- Build robust process documentation and establish learning approaches, including identifying training needs, delivering training programmes, and creating a super user and SME community
- Leverage technology enhancements and integrations, including evaluating business cases and change requests, prioritising initiatives, and partnering with IT to deploy new tools, improve workflows, and drive automation
- Establish data governance and improve master data and data quality, strengthening reporting and analytics to enable better decision making, including use of data mining techniques and tools
- Define SLAs, KPIs, and performance targets, monitor and analyse process performance, and provide actionable recommendations
