We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Financial Accounts Specialist to support our client’s finance function on an interim basis. This role sits outside IR35 and is ideal for a seasoned professional who can quickly add value in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead technical accounting work, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and robust financial controls.
  • Support group finance activities, including consolidation processes and group reporting.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, managing queries and ensuring a smooth audit process.
  • Provide ad‑hoc technical accounting support to the wider finance team as needed.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong technical accounting background, ideally with experience in complex or multi‑entity environments.
  • Proven track record of preparing statutory accounts.
  • Experience working within group finance structures.
  • Confident working with external auditors and managing audit cycles.
  • Ability to work independently, hit the ground running, and deliver high‑quality outputs under time pressure.
  • Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred but not essential if experience is strong.

Location: Hybrid – Chesterfield
